Doctor's Appt

Today I had my 4-month well-check. We saw a new doctor, Dr. Spence, and we really liked her! We'll still see Dr. Chen but Mommy likes that's there are two doctors who we can go see and get to know. Today I weighed 13 lbs, 15 oz. That's almost 14 pounds! And I'm 24.5 inches long. I'm around the 30th percentile in my height and weight, and around the 19th percentile for my head circumference. I'm still on the smaller side but I'm growing consistently and filling out well! I'm tiny and cute!

I had to get shots again :( That's never fun! I had two shots and this time I got cute heart band-aids. Mom left before I got my shots because it makes her too nervous but Daddy was there and made me feel better! I cried but was a good, brave boy!

Mommy got list of what a 4-6 month-old should be doing. I'm doing a few of them and getting close to the rest. Mommy is pretty sure I'll do them all very well by the time I'm 6 months old!

- May sit with support: I sit up pretty well when someone helps me balance. I should be sitting pretty good by the time I'm 6 months old.

- Holds head high when on tummy: Even though tummy time isn't my favorite, I do lift my head very well and even use my arms lift my chest briefly.

- Rolls over both ways: I'm really good at rolling from side to side and mommy thinks I'll have the momentum to roll from my back to my tummy soon!

- Reaches for and grasps objects: I'm working really hard at grabbing my toys and even try to bring them to my mouth so I can chew on them. I still need a bit of work on my coordination. It's hard getting my hands to do what I want!

- Brings hands to mouth: Check! I do this very well. My hands are very yummy to chew and suck on!

- Coos, laughs, squeals, smiles: Check and check! I've definitely discovered my voice in just the past couple days. Squealing is my new favorite thing to do! I also love to smile and I'm laughing out loud more and more.

I'm doing very well and am very happy and healthy! And I certainly don't lack in love and attention!
