First Day of Summer

Yesterday was the first official day of summer and thankfully the weather decided to cooperate, and boy did I have a fun day enjoying the sun! After my first nap, mommy and I went to daddy's and we went on a super long walk. The weather was perfect! We walked down to Houghton beach and went onto the dock and then I got to sit a play in the sand, mostly so mom could take pictures, and then we walked all the way to downtown Kirkland and got ice cream from Ben and Jerry's and then walked through the Marina. We walked back through the little park and I went on the swings with Daddy and then we went back to Grandma and Grandpa Mayfield's house and we played for a little and I ate some food because mommy knew I'd fall asleep in the car, and she was right! I fell asleep on the way home and I slept for over an hour in my carseat.

When I woke up, we ate dinner and then mommy and grandma and grandpa took me to Enatai Beach Park. Mommy heard they put in a new playground, there weren't any swings but I still had fun! I'm still working on going down the slide. I'm fine when I lay down but I really want to sit up and when I go down the slide while sitting, I always fall backwards and bonk my head. Soon I'll be more stable and can have more fun on the slides. Mom's excited to take me to one of the parks with a really big slide and I can slide down on momma's lap, that'll be fun! After the playground, we went down by the water. I didn't sit in the sand too long before I got a nice mouthful of sand. Yuk! I also stuck my toes in the water, it's still a little cold! Mom didn't notice until she was putting my jammies on, but I even got sand in my ears!

After the park, we went to run a couple errands at Target. There's a Petco by Target and they took me go see the little animals and fishies. I had fun watching the animals, I think I'm ready for the zoo!
