My First Birthday Party

My first birthday is on Tuesday so we decided it would be best to celebrate over the weekend. So mommy planned a birthday party for Sunday afternoon. Mommy took care of the decorations and grandma and grandpa organized all the food. My party started out at the Killarney Park and we all just relaxed and talked and ate yummy food. Siena and I also played on the playground. Rio even came to the park with us and Julie brought her dog Buster and Cousin Jared brought his dog Hank. For lunch we had sandwiches, watermelon, veggies and chips. We also had delicious cupcakes and mommy got "Birthday Boy" candles for me to blow out. But now that I think of it, mommy forgot to have everyone sing happy birthday before I blew out my candles, probably because it was a little windy so we had to hurry before the wind blew them out.

After the park, everyone came over to grandma and grandpa's house to roast hotdogs and make s'mores in the new fire pit. We had so much fun just playing in the backyard and talking and hanging out together. I was having so much fun celebrating my birthday that I didn't even go down for an afternoon nap. I didn't want to miss out on all the fun! After dinner and playing for a little bit, I opened all my birthday presents. I am so spoiled and got so many wonderful things and I love all my new toys and presents. Nana and great-grandpa got me a ball popper and Aunt Natalie and Uncle Henry got me a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse plate and fork set. Cousin Alyssa and Jeremiah and Siena gave me a really nice sweatshirt/jacket and a super cute Nemo bath toy, they know how much I love the water! Aunt Julie and Uncle Mike knew how much I love airplanes and got me a Little People airplane. Aunt Cindy and Uncle Mike and cousin Ryan gave me a super fun tunnel to crawl through, I'm going to have so much fun playing in my new tunnel! Daddy's friend Stephen and Kelsey were so sweet and got me a cool new bath toy, too. It is a set of suction cup bubble balls things. Daddy and grandma and grandpa Mayfield got me a backpack carrier. It will so fun to go on hikes and use it at the zoo and in Seattle and other places where it's too busy for strollers. It will be great next summer when I'm bigger but still like being carried around. I didn't get to open a present from grandma and grandpa because they got me a new swing set for the backyard! It won't be delivered for another week or so but I'm going to have so much fun having my own slide and swings to play on! After presents, we had another cake to celebrate Uncle Henry and Aunt Cindy who also have birthdays in the end of August. Grandpa made a delicious coconut cake for Uncle Henry and we sang Happy Birthday to him and Aunt Cindy. It was so much fun to celebrate with everyone! I had such a wonderful birthday party and I am such a lucky boy to have so many people who love me so much!
