Waverly Park

Mommy and Daddy took me to a beach park in Kirkland to go swimming. Even though I've sat by the lake and splashed in the water before, I've never actually been swimming in Lake Washington yet so it was another first! Dad was really excited to take me swimming in the lake for the first time. Mommy was worried that I wouldn't like it very much because I'm not used to swimming in such cold water but she was wrong! It was a nice hot day and I really enjoyed playing in the water and watching all the people swimming. I only got a little upset when mommy sat me on a step in the water and a big wave came and splashed me in the face! We also spent some time playing on our blanket in the shade. Even though there was lots of grass to crawl around on, my favorite thing was to sit on the rock path and play with rocks! I'm such a silly boy! There is also a cute playground and the park sells ice cream and treats! We'll be spending a lot more time there next summer!
