15 Month Well-Check

Today I had my 15 month doctor appointment. We were hoping we'd already be out there visiting Natalie in the hospital be she hasn't had the baby yet. My appointment we really well. I'm healthy and growing good! I'm 23 lbs 3 oz which is in the 56th percentile and I'm 2 feet 7.25 inches tall which is in in the 53rd percentile. I'm the perfect size! Mommy got a list of a few developmental milestones for a 15-18 month old and I'm doing them all! A few include running, pointing to correct body parts (I love my belly button), push and carry large objects, try to do more than I can or should, shares poorly (remember the drumstick incident on Thanksgiving?), imitates parents (I love talking on my phone), and more! Mommy is so happy and thankful that I'm such a healthy boy and that I am learning and growing so well!

Some of my favorite things right now are dancing, running and playing chase and wrestling, all the Christmas lights, and my cars and planes. I get so excited when I see Christmas lights and I love turning the tree lights on. I say "Wow!" and hold my hands up by my face. Mommy thinks I have the cutest expressions! I'm also talking more and more! I'm saying "grandpa" really good (it's sounds like "ga-pa"). I'm also signing "more" really well and "all-done." I'm really good and letting people know what I want and what I don't want. I can be very determined and stubborn and will sometimes throw tantrums, but I get over things and calm down quickly. Mommy's pretty good at distracting me with something else. I also sometimes will pinch mommy and will even get in trouble because I think it's funny. Usually I'm good and being soft and gentle once mommy reminds me to. And even though I'm sometimes a stinker, I am always very sweet and affectionate. I love rocking and snuggling and I am so good at giving loves and kisses. I'm even learning how to blow kisses! I'm also pretty good at following simple directions, like getting Rio's food bowl or helping to pick up my toys at Nana's house or handing something to someone when they ask me to. I'm sleeping better and have been sleeping through the night a lot more. And even when I wake up during the night, I'm getting a lot better and falling back to sleep in my crib. Mommy usually comes in to help me find my binky and rub my back until I fall asleep. I seem to like my crib more and more. Mommy actually misses me sleeping with her sometimes. But she loves snuggling and cuddling in the mornings, especially when she doesn't have to rush to work in the morning. Mommy just can't believe I'm already 15 months old! I'm growing up so fast!
