Christian Atwood Fluse: Update

Mommy hasn't been the best at keeping my blog up to date. She's mostly been using nap time lately to try and workout. So here's a little update since it's been awhile.

I've had a little cold for a couple weeks and it just wouldn't go away. It wasn't too bad but I wasn't sleeping as well as I normally do and the last Thursday I started to have a fever. When mommy came home from work she took my temperature and it was 102.9! I wasn't a very happy boy but I was in a pretty good mood considering how lousy I must have been feeling. Mommy made a doctors appointment for that same evening. Even though they couldn't find any ear or lung infection, they gave me antibiotics because of my fever and how long I've had my cold. My fever lasted all the way until Saturday night and I didn't sleep very good for 3 nights. I'm feeling much better now and I'm finally catching up on some sleep!

Some other news to share is that at the beginning of the November, Grandma got her new position and the elementary school! We are so excited for her and so happy she finally gets to quit working at the Bellevue Club after many, many, many years! She finally gets to be home in the evenings and I am so excited! Even though I'll miss my Wednesdays with Grandma, I am so happy that she gets to be home with us and night!

I'm getting busier and busier and love exploring and playing outside. I LOVE running and playing chase. Sometimes I get very silly and I try to spin around and try to jump. I've also started to dance and mommy thinks it's so cute! When I hear music on the radio or TV I'll start dancing but my favorite is to dance to Itsy Bitsy Spider. I make mommy sing it over and over and over again! I also love to smell things! I learned to smell and sniff flowers and now I smell like to smell candles and things that look like flowers and even pictures of flowers in books. I like to dance and playing with my trucks. I like to be independent and get very frustrated very quickly when I can't do something or when something isn't doing what I want it to. I'm starting to throw tantrums but I usually get over it pretty quickly. Even though I'm sometimes a stinker, I'm getting even more loving and cuddly. I love to give kisses and and lay my head on someone's lap or shoulder or even on Rio and give them a "love." I'll even come up to mommy and give her a big hug around her legs. I went through a "phase" of hitting and pinching and I would think it was so funny but I'm learning what 'gentle' and 'soft' means and now when someones says that, I'll give little strokes and pats. I also know how to say 'hot' and I'll say "hhhhha" when I know something is hot. I still love to smile and strangers always comment on how cute and smiley and friendly I am.
