"Camping" Trip

The annual friends campout that all of mommy's friends and their families go on every year turned into a Mommy and Kid Only "campout" this year. Mommy and I finally decided to join in on the fun this year. Mommy doesn't love camping very much but we camped in the back yard of a friend of Kirsten so we had a house to use the kitchen and bathroom. It was also on Vashon Island and daddy grew up on Vashon because his grandparents lived there. So we thought it would be fun to go. We took the ferry over on Thursday and it was so much fun being on the ferry with all our friends. As you can see, I was super excited about the ferry! We spent the first day just playing at the park and then outside at the house. We had fun playing and eating together. We set up our tents and I loved sleeping in the tent and in our sleeping bags! It was fun! I also lived waking up and eating breakfast with my friends. I loved playing with the big kids and how the big girls took care of me, like Roxy and Emma. Max and Joshua also played a lot with me and took me to pick blackberries. I also loved playing with Anna and Benjamin. So many good friends! I also loved baby Cami and loved talking to her and holding her.

On Friday morning, the weather wasn't too great so we had a lazy day around the house and played and watched some shows. Mommy and I then went to the cemetery and took pictures at great grandpa Eastmark's grave. We also saw deer and we got pretty close to them and they never ran off. We sent pictures to Daddy and Grandma Ali. Later that day, the sun finally started coming out so we headed to the beach! It was lots of fun! That night we also had a talent show and it was fun watching all the kids. Roxy also helped me put on a little skit. We had another yummy dinner together and made smore's in the oven. Yummy! Do you like my new Vashon shirt?

On Saturday, we had breakfast and played together and did our tie-dye. Mommy and I made a red and blue "firework" shirt that will be perfect for the 4th of July next year! We left the house in the afternoon and spent sometime at the Lighthouse Beach. We headed to the ferry around 4pm and I was so tired from a busy couple days that I fell asleep in the car and missed our ferry ride home. It took about two hours to get home and I woke up right before getting home and was so sad to have missed the ferry! We'll have to go back soon! We're excited for another campout next summer!
