Spring Update

I'm not quite 20 months yet but I thought I'd give a little update. I'm just learning so much and saying so many new words that mommy didn't want to forget! I'm even making small sentences! Mommy is surprised every time I say something new or copy something she says. She thinks my little voice is so cute! Mommy thinks I'm so expressive when I talk and with my facial expressions. I can be very dramatic when I say "Oh no!" I get such a worried look on my face. Mommy thinks it's so sweet that I get so concerned over things that are how they should be. I also get a very mischievous look n my face when I'm thinking about doing something I shouldn't. I'll look at mommy with that sneaky face and inch my over over to do something naughty. But usually mommy stops me in time! I understand so much and mommy thinks I have a very good memory, there's not much I forget!

I think my favorite thing right now is the bus. I still point out every bus that drives by and I now ask to go "up" on the bus. I also like my new train, bus, and digger video. Finally mommy found something I'll sit and watch for longer than 2 minutes! Even though mommy is glad that I'd rather play than watch TV, it makes it hard for her to get anything done because I usually insist that someone is playing with me. It makes it a little difficult to keep me entertained while she needs to get ready in the morning, so hopefully I'll enjoy watching my show in the mornings instead of getting into trouble!

I also love playing outside in the backyard or riding my trike on the street. I could be outside all day long! I can even climb up my swingset and slide down all by myself! I love playing ball and chase. I play with my cars and legos a lot and I love pushing around anything with wheels, like my shopping cart or baby stroller. I also like my new puzzles even though I'm much better at taking them apart than putting them together! Another favorite thing is to make cookies with Grandpa on Sundays after church. I'm not sure how much help I am but I love watching the mixer and eating cookie dough!

I'm all boy all the time! I'm busy, busy, busy and I love digging in dirt and climbing and getting into all sorts of trouble like dumping things out and throwing everything. Mommy loves that I'm a rough and tumble, busy boy but at the same time I'm very sensitive and sweet. She thinks I'm the perfect little combo! I'm always concerned when I hear a baby cry and I give the best loves, hugs, squeezes and snuggles! And I always give the sweetest kisses! Mommy sure wishes time would slow down! She just can't get enough of me! She loves rocking me to sleep and snuggling in the morning. I always wake up so happy and in such a good mood. She doesn't think there's anything better than seeing my cute face first thing in the morning! She loves my cute little voice and how I say certain words like "dirt" and "bicycle." She loves my chubby feet and cute baby hands and little chin. She's going to miss so much about this stage, even the little temper tantrums and my picky eating. Mommy knows will have just as much fun together as I get older but she can't believe I'm going to turn two this summer and then I'll be three and going to preschool and then kindergarten and then before you know I'll be all grown up. She's just trying to enjoy and appreciate every moment because she knows me being little will go by way too fast!

Here are some of the new things I'm saying: All done, all gone, wet, rain, ice, bus up (go on the bus), backpack, yellow, dirt, dirty, dark, turtle, zoo, animal noises (elephant, cow, chicken...), snack, grass, and cookie! I'm sure there are a few more but I think I remembered most of them!
