Zoo, again!

Mommy, daddy and I went to the zoo this morning! We made sure to first visit all the animals we missed last time so we started at the day exhibit. I liked seeing the lizards, iguanas and ssssssnakes but my favorite was the turtles! We then went to see the penguins. We stopped to see the jaguar and it was so fun to see him walking around. Every time we've seen him he's always napping in the same corner but today he walked right in front of the window and was eating the grass. It was so neat! After that we went to the family farm to visit the cows. As we were walking mommy was feeding me some fruit snacks and when she said they were gone, I said "snack all gone." My first real sentence! I think mommy almost cried! She's so silly. After the farm we went to the zoonasium and I had so much fun! Daddy was carrying me in the backpack so it was fun to get out and run around. I loved climbing up the tree with mommy and sliding down the dark slide. I loved it so much I even went and got daddy so I could show him, too! I also loved climbing up the rocks and walking on the little bridge and checking out the 'caves.'

The spring is such a good time to go to the zoo because it's not too crowded yet. We also love my backpack carrier more and more! It's way better than the stroller for trips like this. There are no-stroller signs for all the indoor places and we don't have to worry about that when we have the backpack. I also like riding in the backpack a lot more than the stroller! I don't whine to get out or cry because I'd rather be pushing the stroller around!

I've been collecting smashed/picture pennies from the zoo and I get one every time we visit. Mommy didn't think she had any quarters for it so we went to the zoo shop before we left. She was just going to find a cheap treat so she could get change but then she saw a chunky wood puzzle with zoo/safari animals and thought it would be good to get a puzzle for daddy's house. And then daddy bought me a stuffed alligator! Daddy has been wanting to get me a stuffed animal from the zoo because that's where he got Ping when he was little. He let me pick out which one I wanted and I liked the "snap-snap" gator the best! We then went and got my penny and we chose the jaguar since that was the best animal today. I just love the zoo!
