Overdo Update: October, November & December 2013

Wow! I can't believe how long it's been sine the last blog post! It's almost embarrassing! We just been so busy going from one holiday to the next and mommy working and me going to preschool. The evenings and weekends have spent either doing something super fun or us staying at home and playing or sometimes just being super lazy in our jammies and watching shows. So it doesn't leave a lot of time to blog on the computer. I thought I'd just give a little update and try my best to remember some special things the have happen or places we've gone in the past couple months.

We finished October by celebrating Halloween. I was able to wear my skunk costume again and I was quite adorable, or so says momma. She was happy I was still able to fit into my skunk costume and she is kind of sad that I won't be able to wear it again next year. Everyone thought I was a super cute skunk! We were able to go to two "trunk or treats" and I was also able to dress up for preschool and for music time. so we had a lot of Halloween fun this year and I got lots of candy, of course! We also carved pumpkins with daddy and they turned out really good!

November went by quickly! You always think you'll remember everything so well and now looking back, it's hard to remember all the fun things we did. Again, a lot of November was spent in our routine of work, preschool and so on. I spend one morning a week at Daddy's house and I always have a lot of fun playing with Daddy and seeing Grandma and Grandpa Mayfield. I love to play and color and watch Chuggington with Daddy and Grandma. I go to preschool two mornings a week and love seeing my friends and teachers. I love doing the art projects and playing outside on the playground and in the sandbox. I also get to spend a couple mornings a week at Nana's house and I love playing with Nana and Papa. I love snuggling with Nana and reading books and watching Mickey Mouse. I love playing downstairs with all my toys and my little trampoline. I also like watching Papa's westerns on TV,  and I especially love playing chase with Papa and Leo! When mom gets home from work each day, we eat lunch together and then I always take a good nap. We spend the evenings playing at home, trains and cars and playing hide and seek are my favorite, or watching movies. We also like running errands with Grandma and Grandpa during the week. That's what a usual weekday is like for us!

One really special thing that happened in November was that Charlotte and I went to our first concert! Casper Babypants! It was a lot of fun! Charlotte and I both love music and we had so much fun dancing! See my youtube page for a couple videos: youtube.com/christianatwood. The Saturday before Thanksgiving, Grandpa was babysitting and took me on a special trip to the Train Store in Kirkland! My grandpa is the best! Grandpa told mommy how excited I was when we first went into the store and how much I loved watching the trains. It is my new favorite place!

Mommy and I are lucky that we always get two Thanksgivings. One at Nana's house and one at Daddy's house. It always nice to visit with family, talk about all the things we're thankful for, and eat yummy food! On Thanksgiving weekend, we went out to the Christmas Tree farm. We went out once to take some Christmas pictures and then we went back the next day to look at trees and see Santa and walk to the river. Thanks to uncle Henry, we got some really wonderful pictures this year! (There is a separate post below with his pictures).

We ended November and started December by decorating for Christmas! I had a lot of fun "helping" Grandpa put the Christmas lights on the house, Grandpa even put lights on the playhouse in the backyard. We did a lot of fun things during December. It started off with Charlotte's first birthday party! It turned out amazing! Everyone had so much fun and the decorations were beautiful! Grandpa also made a really great Santa!

We went to the mall a lot during December and we went to Candy Cane Lane a few times! We saw it grandma and grandpa, we went once with Charlotte, and we also went one time with Daddy. Mommy, Daddy and I also went to the Garden D'Lights one evening and I really enjoyed seeing all the lights! They were amazing! One of my favorite things to do during December was to watch Christmas movies! My favorite was Polar Express! I also liked the Christmas Carol with the ghosts, both the Mickey Mouse and the other Disney version.

Christmas break began a day early with a snow day! That was probably one of Mommy's favorite things to have happen this month! Mommy even woke me up that morning to go play in the snow. I had so much fun! I was out too long but I loved running in the snow and makings snowballs and of course, I ate some snow, too! Yum! We also made cookies that day and grandpa drove us to get flu shots and then took us out to lunch. I was a super brave boy and didn't even cry during my shot! I was too excited to go back out to the waiting room to see "Nemo" and "Dory" in the fish tank! Uncle Sam also came home that same day! I love my uncle Sammy and it was so fun to have him home for a couple weeks! Also on this very special snow day, we welcomed a new baby to the family! Alyssa and Jeremiah had another sweet baby girl and Siena is now a big sister to little Francesca!

On the eve of Christmas Eve, mommy and I went to her friends house for a gingerbread decorating party. All her good friends were there and there were a lot of kids. Most of the other kids were older and they made a real-life Candyland game. It turned out really cool! That night we went with grandma, grandpa and Uncle Sam to the Ivar's in Renton to see the Clam Lights. It was fun to walk around on the Waterfront to see the lights but my favorite part was when grandpa pulled over to the side of the rode so mommy could show me the train tracks! I'm so sad they took the tracks out behind Daddy's house.

On Christmas eve we went to the movies! We went to the new Issaquah theater and saw Disney's Frozen. We heard really good things about it and the previews looked really cute and silly with the snowman and reindeer. It was a really good movie but I was just a little young for it. It didn't quite keep my attention but I was pretty good for the whole movie. The story was just a little over my head. But mommy really liked it and thinks it was good, it's just for kids a little older than me that can follow the storyline a little better. That evening we went to Nana's house for dinner. It was nice to have a relaxing Christmas eve spent visiting with family. The Shelton's came up and introduced Francesca, she was only 4 days old! I was very sweet to the new baby and I really loved seeing Siena! On Christmas morning, we woke up and daddy came over to see me open my presents. Santa brought me the Planes movie and Dusty Crophopper! In my stocking, he brought me a Thomas Train and the rocket balloons I liked so much during summertime and he also got me Cars underwear. I loved opening all my presents. Grandma and Grandpa, and mommy and daddy sure spoiled me! I was so excited for every present I got. Thomas tracks and trains, a big firetruck, Lego train tracks, a Mack truck that holds my hot wheel cars, a battery operated Deisel train for my wooden tracks, and more! Aunt Mary also sent another Thomas the train track and also a Cubs Sweatshirt and hat! She was so thoughtful! She didn't even know how much I loved train and the track she got me hooks up to the other tracks I got from daddy! She also knew how badly Charlotte and I needed some Cubs gear! After breakfast, we went and spent the day at Nana's house. Nana and Papa got me a cute Monster book and a really neat car track with race cars. Everybody had fun playing with the cars that afternoon. You shake them up to start the engine and then put them on the track to race. They go super fast! We went back home to see Charlotte get her Kitchen set (she loved it!) and to exchange gifts between her and I. They got me indoor hockey pucks and a Chuggington sticker book. I got her a farm animal book that is the my zoo animal book that she likes so much. After that, we went back to Nana's house to eat and play. What a wonderful Christmas day!

The next day, we went to Daddy's house for Christmas dinner and to open presents. This year they cut a tree down from the backyard! It turned out to look really good inside! Daddy got me another Thomas train and a wooden block train. From grandma and grandpa Mayfield, I got a Leapfrog Pad and Planes jammies and Mickey jammies! I love my Planes jammies and mommy thinks they fit me really cute! We also got Christmas money from Grandpa Mikey and I already used some of mine for apps for my Leapfrog. I  mostly got shows to watch (I love the sea life show) and a couple ebooks. But I also love to color and paint on the art studio app and play with my pet. I have a pet monkey on my Leapfrog and you can give it a bath, play games with him and feed him treats. Mom is very impresses that I've figured that all out already!

The week after Christmas, we mostly spent at home playing with all are new toys. We had a lot of lazy days playing with new toys and watching new movies (and mom couldn't stop reading on her new Kindle she got for Christmas, she read 5 books in a week and a half). We took two more trips to the train store, once with grandpa and uncle Sammy, and once with Daddy. Mommy and I also went on a date to the mall one day and I got to help grandpa make Oatmeal-Chocolate chip cookies! We had Nana and Papa over to play dominoes a couple times that week and we spent a really nice evening over at Mike and Cindy's house to celebrate the New Year. They made ribs and home-made cinnamon rolls, yum! The last couple days of winter break were cold but really sunny so one day mommy and daddy took me to the zoo.

We had such a wonderful holiday season. Mom was really sad to go back to work and realty after a couple really wonderful weeks home. We also loved having Uncle Sam home for awhile! We will miss him! I'm a very lucky boy who has a family that loves him very much! Mommy just can't get enough! I'm a very sweet and silly boy and I have a good sense of humor. I'm talking more and more and I surprise mommy almost everyday with a new sentence.I'm starting to sing songs and learning to count. Sometimes I can make it up to 15! My most favorite things right now, besides binkies, are trains! I love trains! Real trains, toys trains, train tracks, train shows, train books, train stores. I also love my jammies. I hate having to get dressed and if I see my jammies I want them on. But Mommy can  relate, if she's at home, she's most likely in jammies, too. I'm a very happy boy but I do have my moments. I'm definately a two-year-old boy and want to be independent. I get a little fiesty when I want to do something myself and somebody wants to help, but I also get frustrated when I can't do something myself but I still refuse help. It's a good thing everyone thinks I'm so darn cute, somehow it gives them more patience. I'm also getting a little territorial with toys and such but we're working on it. I also like to throw things and we're working on that, too. I still don't like to eat and it's really frustrating for mommy but she just needs to accept that it's just the way I am.  I certainly make up for my stubbornness and two-year-old boyness. I still like to snuggle and I give great loves and hugs and kisses. I love to play hide-and-seek and chase around the house and wrestle with momma. I also like to color and help grandma wash the dishes. I'm usually pretty good about cleaning and picking up my toys. I also love to spend time every night laying with grandpa and grandma in their bed to "watch the news." I'm a good boy and go to bed nicely every night and say my prayers. And even though I go to bed pretty late for a toddler, usually around 10, it's only because I take such good naps! 2.5-3 hours everyday!

There was a lot of things to remember in this post and hopefully I didn't forget too much! And hopefully I won't go another three months without posting! Happy New Year!
