Science Center and January Update

Daddy and Mommy took me to ride the monorail in Seattle. They thought I would love it because of how much I love trains... and they were right! I was so excited! We parked at Pacific Place and walked to Westlake Center to catch the monorail. We rode the monorail to the Seattle Center and went to the Science Center. We thought it would be fun to explore the Science center with out the crazy crowds from the Train show like last time. And since we're members now, we can go as often as we like! I had a lot of fun but a lot of the activities are for when I'm a bit older. Mommy remembers going when she was younger but she feels like there were more things to do, like the giant bubbles and the shadow picture room. But we still had a lot of fun! I loved the water tables and the water "guns" outside. I'm also starting to like dinosaurs more but I wasn't really into the dinosaur exhibit like mommy thought I'd be. We're excited to come back and we'll keep checking the different exhibits that will be coming and the Imax. After some time at the Science center, we walked back to the armory for hot chocolate and a cake pop from Starbucks and then headed back to catch the monorail. We got there as soon as it was leaving and I was so sad and worried. I though it just left without out us! But mommy said it would be back for us soon so we just enjoyed our hot chocolate while we waited. I loved the ride back just as much as our first ride! Mommy wishes the monorail ride was longer because I enjoy it so much. But it's a little expensive for how short the ride is. Especially when we have to pay for parking, also. But we'll definitely be back to ride again! Of course, mommy didn't bring the camera!

I thought I'd also give a little January update in this post. First of all, mommy thinks I'm going through a little growth spurt. Mommy thinks I'm getting taller and longer and I have been sleeping SO good! I sleep through the night with out getting up and will sleep from 9/9:30pm to 7:30/8am. I also take really good naps! from 1:30/2pm to 4pm. If I don't nap, I'll go to bed a little earlier, like 7:45 and sleep for 12 hours! I also go to bed so nicely. I am such a good boy about going to sleep for my naps and at bedtime at night. I never really complain and once mommy lays me down, I never make another peep! I also like laying in bed for awhile after I wake up and just relax in my crib. I even slept in until 11:15 the day after the train show! Mommy is very happy I sleep so well and is such a good boy about going to bed.

Some of my favorite things to do lately are play with my leap pad and mommy's kindle. I love to do puzzles, play my alphabet game, play my Nemo game, and watch Netflix. I still love to play with my trains but I also like to play with my other cars and my big dump truck more now, too. I love to fill up my dump truck and drive things all around the house. I also like to sit in my dump truck and have mommy "dump" me out. I also love playing with my lego trains and both my racecar tracks.

Another notable event for January was our broken toilet! I was being silly and through hair clips (the "claw" kind) around the bathroom while mommy was getting ready in the morning and one landed in the toilet. I was about to reach in and get but mommy stopped because that would have been yucky. She was running late for work (of course) and thought she'd remember to get it out when she got home. But she forgot! It got flushed at some point and about 2 days later, the toilet started having trouble. So we asked Uncle Mike to help come fix it (we knew we have to take the whole thing off) and it was way more complicated then we thought it would be. I guess the toilet wasn't done right in the first place so Uncle Mike took the opportunity to fix it right. I had a lot of fun "helping" him fix the toilet and I loved hanging out with him and talking to him in the bathroom. I was a pretty good boy and didn't get in the way too much. The whole process was a little messy and when it was finally fix, I was convinced that Uncle Mike needed to clean up the bath tub. I kept saying "Uncle Mike clean it." But we needed to do our part, too!

This month, Mommy has been working a lot on Tuesdays and Thursdays when I'm in my class. There have been two teachers that have been out sick a lot this month. But she has also been able to work in my class a couple times and that a lot of fun! practice for when mommy will be my teacher next year! Here is a cute video of our circle time: youtube.com/christianatwood

Here's some pictures of me doing one of my favorite things at home - Playing with my trains!
