Croup and Father's Day

We had a pretty low-key weekend celebrating father's day. I woke up Thursday morning with a mild fever and a barky cough and by the time mommy picked me up after work, I had a 104 degree fever! Mommy was able to get me an appointment at the doctors and uncle Sam drove with us out to Issaquah. We spent almost two hours there but it turns out I came down with croup! I was given steroids to help with the croup symptoms but I still had to suffer through typical cold and virus symptoms. I very rarely get sick and even when I do catch a cold, I never get too sick and get over my colds pretty quickly. But for some reason, this virus really got me! I had a high fever Thursday through Saturday. Finally, on Sunday morning, my fever was down to 99-100 on it's own and I was feeling so much better! Thankfully, it also happen to be cold and rainy all weekend so it was a good weekend to spend sick and inside. Mommy and I drank lots of juice and watched lots of shows and movies.

On Saturday, we had plans to go to Crabpot with Grandpa and Uncle Henry. We're happy Nana was willing to babysit me since I was sick and couldn't go out. Mommy and everyone else had a nice time out eating the buckets of crab and shrimp and clams!

On Father's Day, I stayed home from church since I was still getting over being sick. I was finally feeling better in the afternoon and we were able to go to Nana's house to celebrate father's day. It was fun to see Mike and Cindy and all the boys. Charlotte and I had lots of fun playing and running around the house. Mommy, grandpa and I even got to go in the hot tub for a little bit.

On Monday, we were able to give Daddy his father's day present. We got him some yummy smelling candles! We celebrated mother's and father's day together a few days later at Cheesecake Factory. We had a good time together and daddy bought us a yummy lunch! I had a really yummy chocolate milkshake and pepperoni pizza! I even had the pizza for dinner and lunch the next day! Yum! I also got to go to the Disney Store on our way back to the car.

Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures over the weekend!
